Dahesh Voice

An individual is recognized through his voice, however, if the voice reflects a certain portion of the individuals’ Soul, then it becomes an extension of the Soul. Hence, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness” became a symbol for John the Baptist, who paved the way for the Lord of Glory.

Some of the voices fade away as its owner fades away into oblivion; some of the voices defeat death and remain active, because they carry the seeds of renewal and continuity, such as the voices of Socrates, Plato, Confucius, Lao Tzu, Buddha, Gandhi, and many other wise and Spiritual Guides.

Some of the voices cannot be heard without awakening the beauty of the Soul, uplifting the emotions, and soaring with the wings of imagination, such as the voice of Homer, Shakespeare, Tagore, Kahlil Gibran, and many other geniuses of art and literature.

Some of the voices cannot be mentioned without invoking within the soul awe and thunder, such as the voice of the Nazarene weaved into a whip and lashed with it the money changers and merchants from the Great Temple, or his voice that tears through the eternal darkness to expose the throne of the Great Light: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

Dahesh Voice possesses a tone from each of those eternal voices, and in addition, it reminds you at times with the boom of thunder, the eruption of volcanos, and the roar of earthquakes… at other times with the gentle breeze, the singing of the canary, and the gentle whispers of a loving mother to her only child, as she swings him with her arms.

Dahesh Voice is what the Middle East needs to be awakened from its deep slumber and shaking away the shackles of ignorance, paralysis, and illusion. It is what the West needs to instill life in the crippled body of virtue so that it can recuperate.

Dahesh Voice is the voice of freedom, clear and wise dressed up in the garment of righteousness, good, and beauty. It is the voice of brotherly love that unites nations; the voice of tolerance and unity between religions; and the voice of faith combined with intellect—which is derived from God.

This magazine is for those with a steady hand while destroying the restrains and idols; who are not blinded by staring into the bright lights of truth; and who are looking forward to transitioning from today’s humanity into a better one tomorrow.
