Daheshist Rituals

Daheshist Rituals
(Revised 07-22-07)

Dear Daheshist brothers and sisters:

The Beloved and Guiding Prophet had left us a Canon of Daheshist Rituals and it is time that we begin its observance.

The basis and principles of this Canon are imposed upon us by the Divine and not by fellow human beings. Every Daheshist must observe this Canon in the same fashion any sacred directive is observed. Undoubtedly, there is a spiritual responsibility for those that do not abide by it.

Let our practice of the Daheshist Rituals be full of faith and fever and not reduce them to the level of formalities, where repetition devoid them from their meaning. Because by doing so, they lose their Spiritual effect and their desired results.

1- Sacred Ramz

Every Daheshist is mandated to write the Holy Daheshist Ramz twice a day: at 6:00 AM and at 6:00 PM in correspondence to the Six Personalities. If the Ramz couldn’t be written at those times, it is still mandated (2) to be written once before noon and once before midnight.

The Ramz must be written with absolute awe and belief in what is being written.

The request should not contain anything materialistic in nature, because it is an abomination. The request is typically for forgiveness, mercy, the alleviation of danger, Spiritual Assistance or for Spiritual advancement, or the call for good things to happen to the writer of the Ramz and to Daheshism. There is no need to explain the details, for the Spiritual World is aware of all the needs, intentions, and the thought process of the entire universe.

(1) It is both, a prayer and an offering at the same time. The writing is a brief prayer addressed to the Great Maker. As to its burning, it is a substitute for an offering.

(2) Although mandated, it is not compulsory. There are all kinds of situations that do not allow the individual to write and burn the Holy Ramz at 6:00 AM and at 6:00 PM—especially when the individual is in the workplace or commuting. An attempt should be made to write and burn the Holy Ramz once a day at the most convenient time.

2- Fasting

It is mandated on every Daheshist to fast from eating and drinking on the sixth and twentieth of each month in correspondence to the Six Personalities and the Twentieth Spiritual Fluid. Fasting begins at 6:00 AM and ends at 6:00 PM. The individual should fast without grumbling or showing off that he is fasting, because such acts nullify the fast. If decent behavior is expected from a Daheshist, it is mandated during the fast, so that it is not devoid from its Spiritual benefit. The mandate of fast is lifted only during sickness or travel—something is left up to the conscience of the believer.

3Although mandated, there are chronic health issues and other reasons that prevent the individual from fasting on the sixth and twentieth of every month. Again, it is not compulsory. If anyone misses a day of fasting it is possible to make it up on any day between the missed day and the next fasting day.

3- Marriage

A Daheshist priest in a Daheshist Temple must perform the marriage procedure, however, if the conditions governing the marriage are urgent, it would possible to have the marriage ceremony be performed in another location. Pending the ordination of Daheshist priests, all couples wishing to be married must write a “Ramz” that contains the following request:

“In the name of Mighty God that we are granted a Spiritual Sayyal4 in order to bring us together and to confirm our marriage and to inspire us with what is in our best interest. We contract with each other, before God Almighty, to be loyal and faithful to each other and that mutual love and respect govern our life and relationship.”

The couple must sign their names on the “Ramz” along with a third person temporarily acting as a witness in lieu of a priest.

The Daheshist marriage “Ramz” is what confirms the marriage in the eyes of Daheshism. As to the social aspect, the couple must have a civil marriage be performed and should absolutely refrain from any marriage with a religious attribute that is not Daheshist (i.e.; Islamic, Christian, Jewish, or any other), because their performance will spoil the Daheshist marriage.

Undoubtedly, it is better if the couple are both Daheshists, however, it is not mandated. The civil marriage should precede the Daheshist marriage.

4 “Sayyals” (plural of Sayyal) which means “Spiritual Fluids”—the Spiritual component of the soul that is transmitted throughout the entire “material” universe.

4- Divorce

The divorce procedure must be performed by a Daheshist priest. However, pending the establishment of priesthood, all couples wishing to be divorced must write a “Ramz” that contains the following request:

“In the name of Mighty God that our marriage be dissolved and such dissolution be for our best interest.”

The couple must sign their names on the “Ramz” along with a third person temporarily acting as a witness in lieu of a priest.

Let it be known to Daheshists that divorce is forbidden in Daheshism and is only permitted if any of the following three conditions are proven to be true:

Unfaithfulness on the part of either party.
Repeated negligence on the part of either party. If the reason for negligence is the presence of a lover(s), then a proof of his/her/their existence must be proven first.
Continued disagreements that lead to quarrels and bickering that render life unbearable.

The Daheshist divorce “Ramz” is what confirms the divorce in the eyes of Daheshism. As to the social aspect, those who wish to be divorced must obtain divorce through the civil courts and refrain from going through any non-Daheshist religious divorce procedure—unless the couple is initially married under the umbrella of a different religion.

In the case the divorced couple have children, the civil courts must resolve the settlement.

5- Baptism

Typically, the baptism ceremony is conducted by a Daheshist priest. However, pending the ordination of Daheshist priests in the future, the baptism ceremony can be conducted as follows:

When the child is 20 days of age, either of the parents, or both—if both are Deheshists—would write the sacred Ramz (see definition) and include in it the following request: “To grace this child with a lofty Sayyal (see definition) and to be baptized as a Daheshist under the name (full name of the child), by the Will of God Almighty.” The Ramz is signed by both parents, or one parent and one adult Daheshist relative, along with a third person acting as a witness in the absence of a priest

The Ramz is then folded, burnt, and the ashes are crushed and placed in a glass of water, where it is mixed. A few drops are poured over the child’s head while saying:

In the name of God, his Beloved and Guiding Prophet, the Six Personalities, and the Twentieth Spiritual Fluid to grace this child with a lofty Sayyal and to be baptized as a Daheshist under the name (full name of the child), by the Will of God Almighty.

The baptism ceremony should be conducted for any individual who accepts Daheshism and regardless of age. It is the believer’s holy rite in order to become confirmed in Daheshism.

6- Death

Daheshists believe that death is just a process of transition from one form of life into another, in accordance with the laws of reincarnation. Divine Justice requires each individual Spiritual Fluid (Sayyal) of a human being to be solely responsible for its actions and desires. For this reason, each Sayyal will face a fate different from the other Sayyals (plural of Sayyal). Any Sayyal that managed to have elevated itself through its deeds and desires would have merited a better life than the one it came from. Conversely, when it managed to have degraded itself, it would have merited a harsher life than the one it came from. This is a Divine and Just System that makes the individual’s deeds and desires determine his fate without mediation or forgiveness.

However, Divine Mercy permitted the Sayyals of the deceased to benefit by the sincere request for mercy by others with Sayyals connected to those of the deceased, as is the case with relatives or loved ones. This way, some benefit comes out from the pleadings for mercy by the relatives of the deceased—provided that the pleadings are genuine. In this context, the elevation of the children’s Sayyals will help the parents and vice versa. It could also take place between siblings or with anyone that has a connected Sayyal with another.

When a Daheshist expires, the following steps are taken:

Immediately following the expiration of the individual, one of the family members should write a Ramz requesting mercy, forgiveness, and spiritual elevation for the deceased. The Ramz is signed by all family members, is burnt, and then the ashes are placed in the pocket of the deceased.
An obituary is prepared with the Daheshist pentagram in the middle of the page with the following lines above:
In the name of God,
the Beloved and Guiding Prophet,
the Six Personalities,
and the Twentieth Spiritual Fluid

On both sides of the pentagram two saying by the Beloved Prophet are written and at the bottom the following phrase:
May God have Mercy on his/her soul and provide him/her refuge in His Heavenly Paradises. This is followed by a brief biography of the deceased.

Just prior to the burial, the following prayers are recited:
• “The Beloved and Guiding Prophet”
• “O Death!”
• “When I Leave You”
• “Remember Me and Forget Me Not”
• “Peace”

Upon the recital of the prayers, another Ramz is written with the following plea:
“God willing, mercy be granted to (individual’s name here) so that his/her spiritual rank is elevated.” The Ramz is then signed and burnt by the relatives and the ashes are sprinkled over the casket prior to burial or cremation.

Prayer of the “Beloved and Guiding Prophet.”

O Father and the Father of Creation!
Have mercy on us because of our inherited weaknesses.
Strengthen our hearts so that we believe in Your Powers and talk about Your Miracles.
Plant in our hearts the seeds of love, sympathy, mercy, and compassion.
Keep us away from temptations that seek to allure us and make us fall into the darkness of sin.
Guide our steps towards the path of truth, light, and certainty.
Keep us away from vile thoughts and never allow them to approach us.
You are the Creator of the universe and everything within it. Your Mercy and Compassion encompass all of its creatures—the known and unknown.
O God! Have mercy on our souls and hold back the full punishment that we have merited, which could destroy us.
Do not allow greed to take us over and pull us into its horrible currents.
Let contentment fill our hearts, so that we only ask for sustenance and Glorify Your Name.
Keep us away from the wicked people and those who mock Your Word. Illuminate their minds.
Purify the souls of sinners and grant them sparks of Your Divine Lights in order to revere Your Greatness.
Lift us up from the horrible pitfalls and include everyone with Your Vigilant Providence.
O Compassionate Father!
Anyone who: relies on You; works according to Your Commandments; makes sacrifices in Your Name; despises his earthly desires; rejects earthly matters and values; has sympathy for the wretched; preaches about Your Miracles; and believes in Your Beloved and Guiding Prophet, will attain happiness, Heaven, light, and splendor.
He will live for eternity in splendor and glory among the immortals,
And be graced with Your Brilliant Lights forever.
Amen.

The stopper of my heartbeat and body movements!
The shroud of greed, the coffin of oppression, and the tomb of hatred!
The constructor and disintegrator; the builder and destroyer!

O Honeysweet slumber that visit us every now and then:
O death, my love!
Close my eyes love.
Close them, for they are tired of looking at this filthy and sick world!
Yes, and stop my heartbeats—this broken heart that is tired from the many useless heartbeats!
And eliminate my breath, because I had enough breathing the corrupt air of this world!
And let me lose my sense of smell, because it would be a reward not to smell this stinking life, which is full of filth!
Tie me up with your light hidden shackles, because my feet are tired of walking through the wilderness of this world—a world that is full of evils and sins and crowded with moaning and pains!
Lay down on me your comfortable chest!
Because, I am fed up with human nonsense and the ridicule of fate!
Place your healing balsam on the wounds of my sad and wondering soul, because it is about time for it to feel the bliss of eternal happiness, everlasting joy, and the holy immortal beatitude!
Come near me and don’t keep your distance, because I taste comfort in being near you and burn in the hell of suffering in your being distant!
Have mercy on me, my love, for my soul is tired from staying in this scary and cold world!
Give me your warm hand and place it over my cold hand and let my heart beat with happiness and joy!
Give me, my love, and don’t be hard on me!
For the hardness of the inhabitants of this mortal world is sufficient!
Give me, my love, and relieve me from this life.
O my love!
How miserable this world is and how severe the pains of this life are!
How unhappy this existence is and how tough it is.
God! How beautiful your world is and glorified!
Have mercy on me! Have mercy on me, my beloved death!
Will you not hear?

When I Leave You
When distance places a strong obstacle between us
and when I am no longer visible to your eyes
that long to see my familiar face
when the extreme yearning to be with me, as we were in the past
at that point you will remember my sayings to you
and bring my image closer to your imagination
and be certain that what you are wishing for is none other than the wish I used to live for
–because I love you so much! I love you so much!

When you realize that I have been lashed, slapped, and offended
and driven by lashers under insult and despicable cussing
where they placed me in the depth of a horrific jail
where I was offered nothing to satisfy my extreme hunger and my deadly thirst
then you will remember me, my beloved, as your memories will be intertwined with my spirit
–because I love you so much! I love you so much!

When the days pass, months elapse, and years vanish
and you are expecting my desired return to be with you
however, your urgent desire remains trapped within your chest without coming true
then you will remember, my dearest, the meetings I had with you
and say: “it was a beautiful dream that appeared in our world for moments then disappeared.”
–because I love you so much! I love you so much!

When the hopes of my possible return to you disappears
and time roles up the years within its fierce depths
and my memories pass through your heart and read what I have left you
at that point say: “he disappeared from our world as fast as lightning.”
and be certain that anxiously and lovingly that I will observe you from my distant world …
–because I love you so much! I love you so much!

Remember Me and Forget Me Not
When my time in this life is up
And after you are ascertained, my beloved brother, that I will not return
When you are told that I have passed through the barriers and crossed the boundaries
And took off the shackles and my spirit reached the world of eternity
When I have followed my fathers and grandfathers that preceded me
Never ever give yourself up to sadness and inaction
Instead, remember me, remember me, my beloved brother, and forget me not.

When the memories of our beautiful and radiant days come to your mind
And the remembrance of our faded happy and blissful moments overcome you
And the fantasy of beautiful hopes that withered and passed, pass through your mind
And see the roses of my desires wilt and the flowers of my passions wither
And after I roam very far away from this mortal life
Do not let your tears fall, because I will be in a paradise with hanging fruits
Instead, remember me, remember me, my beloved brother, and forget me not.

When you feel a gentle breeze greet you and play with you
Then roam around you with extreme care to greet you
And the exquisite birds descend on the jungle and twitter
And begin to sing its sweet songs reminding you with your Guide
After your dreams come to life and your hopes shoot up
Know that all these things are inspiration from my spirit talking to you.
Instead, remember me, remember me, my beloved brother, and forget me not.

Peace
Peace upon that eternally bright spiritual world.
Peace upon those ever shinning lights.
Peace upon that extremely brilliant Divine Glory.
Peace upon those realms that I ever long to.
Peace upon those pure and holy regions.
Peace upon that chaste and eternal world.
Peace upon its pure inhabitants who are enjoying its dazzling and shinning lights.
Peace upon that unknown world that does not set or hide.
Peace upon those places with a sweet-smelling fragrance.
Peace upon those whose holiness allowed them to reach this safe and fortified place.
Peace upon those who were persecuted and tortured for the sake of their righteous and unshaken religion.
Peace upon those who experienced extreme agony by drinking fully from its bitter cup.
Peace upon their happy spirits from the beginning and till eternity.
Peace that I write on this paper with a sad, torn, broken, and throbbing heart.
Peace upon a world other than our filthy and materialistic one.
Peace that is emanating an aromatic fragrance that is not materialistic, corrupt, and filthy.
Eternal peace for its just and applicable laws.
I send Peace from my trivial world to that great and noble world.
Peace from a poor soul who filled the universe with his sins, beseeches God to forgive him and place him within His Mercy that covered all creatures.
Yes, peace! Peace! Peace!

7- Daheshist Holidays

There are three major holidays [in a calendar year] to be celebrated by Daheshists:

The Declaration of the Daheshist Mission: This holiday is celebrated on March 23rd. It is the anniversary of the first Spiritual Session that took place in 1942 at the house of the Beloved Prophet in Beirut, Lebanon and witnessed by the first believer, brother Youssef el-Haj. This date is considered to be the beginning of the Daheshist Calendar.
The Birth of the Beloved and Guiding Prophet: This holiday is celebrated on June 1st. His birth took place on that day in 1909 in the city of Jerusalem.
The Declaration of Prophecy: This holiday is celebrated on June 18th. On this day in 1942, the Divine Will named the founder of Daheshism by “The Beloved and Guiding Prophet.”
The Beloved departed from this world on April 9th, 1984. This day is recognized in Daheshism as memorial holiday of Dahesh’s life and accomplishments.

8- Program of the Religious Congregation

The Holy Spirit mandated Mondays to be a day of congregation in order to pray and to reflect on religious matters in Daheshism. Daheshists should finish their work in the early afternoon so that they can commence the meeting at 5 PM5. The meeting is held at a designated house pending the formation of a Daheshist Temple. The prayers are conducted for a complete hour and include the following four components:

Several prayers are read from the book “Humble Prayers,” in the following order:
• “The Beloved and Guiding Prophet”
• “God”
• “Peace Be Upon You”
• A new prayer is read from the book in each meeting until all prayers have been read, then the process is restarted.

Several pages are read about the life of the Prophet from the book “New Light on the Founder of Daheshism and His Miracles,” pending the publication of “The Book of Daheshism” and “Innocent in Chains.”
Conforming to the Spiritual edicts mentioned in the miraculous answers to the 72 questions addressed by Mr. Edward Noon and as a clarification for the Spiritual link that ties Lord Christ with the Beloved and Guiding Prophet through the Twentieth Spiritual Fluid, and in order to show the similarities between their lives, a chapter is read in each meeting from the New Testament according to the following order:
• Matthew 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, 13, 16, 18, and 23.
• Mark 15.
• Luke 17.
• John 1 (1:18), 3, 6 (32:71), 8 (12:59), 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, and 17.

A small poem or two are read from “My Songs.” A different poem or two are read in each meeting.

The meeting is then concluded with the reading of “Letter from Father Noah.”

After the meeting, each Daheshist is to write the Ramz beginning at 6 PM, sign it, and burn it in his/her own dish simultaneously with all other members. It is also possible to have one or more Ramz written and signed by several attendees.

5 The timing of the meeting is not cast in stone and the 5 PM start is to allow time to have the prayers and readings done in time for the writing and burning of the Holy Ramz at 6 PM—something that is not always possible given the complexity of leaving work early on a regular basis; traffic congestion; and other reasons that may not adherence to this timing. As Daheshism grows and temples created, the timing for the Monday congregation will be left to the community to establish.

Prayer of the “Beloved and Guiding Prophet.”

God (Allah)
God—a Word that is:
Soft, sweet, transparent, ethereal, and sacred;
Pronounced by the lips with quiver and awe;
Repeated by the hearts with fear and submission;
Sought after by every miserable and desperate person;
Known to all Creation since the beginning of time;
Familiar to a child from his early years;
A balsam that cures the laden hearts;
Unmatched by the Al-Kauthar* in its sweetness;
Totally encompassing the secrets of life;
Loftier than any other word, known or unknown to us;
Powerful, strict, sharp, and omniscient;
Chosen by the Creating Force to symbolize Itself;
Tough, yet compassionate;
Frightful, yet honeysweet;
Its meaning cannot be fathomed;
Heavenly and not terrestrial;
Inclusive of the secrets and mysteries of eternity;
Holy and eternal;
Almighty, dominating everything else;
Vengeful, yet just and reassuring;
A source of our tears, happiness, pain, and hope;
Musical to utter and Spiritual in meaning;
Implies the Beginning and End;
Oh, what a sweet and immortal Word!
It encompasses the mountains, seas, prairies, rivers, forests, deserts, highlands, canyons, and whatever forms that are known and unknown to us in this life and the life beyond.
God! (Allah!) Yes, what a sweet and immortal Word.

*Al-Kauthar is a river in Heaven.

From “Letter from Father Noah.” (Revealed)
“My Beloved:

I would like to congratulate: you and whomever remain steadfast till the end; whomever is able to overcome and trample temptations; whomever is able to cast away the enticements that intercept the flow of his life; whomever, with the spear of his faith, can stab and kill his weak inclinations from inception, before they become difficult and destroy him with their deception and treason.

I have done good deeds in my life, so God, Glory to His Name, rewarded me beyond description. I am now in a lasting Paradise reciting verses of praise to the Creator. Some verses are familiar to you, while others are not and will remain so until your final hour of knowledge arrives, that’s when you’ll despise Earth and its occupants and will bless the Name of Mighty God. Ages and ages will pass you by while you are submersed in a lasting Paradise living a life…Oh my God, what a glorified life it is!

As to those who were driven into [the hands of] the horrific evil spirit and allowed themselves to be controlled by their mortal materialistic desires, their pains will be great and so is their sadness and unhappiness! Many long ages will pass them by and they are in a lasting inferno suffering from mental, physical, spiritually weak, exhausting, and horrific pains!

Pray a lot, my beloved, and be steadfast in this final Holy Spiritual Message. Because the years are numbered and within those years, total destruction will be inflicted. Do not be taken by weakness. Resist lowly temptations. Do not give up or despair, for when the hour of regret is upon you, it will do you no good. Now, the opportunity lay ahead of you. None of you should be happy in knowing the Truth through this Mission and that he is saved from everything, because, as I have mentioned to you earlier, numerous temptations lay ahead that you must resist and crush.

Woe…woe…and woe to those of you who leave the coral of this Divine Mission!

In one of your terrestrial hours, the Beloved and Guiding Prophet will leave you, however, do not be sad, my beloved, because another Guide will be in your midst. This Guide is of the same Spirit as your departing Guide and He will come from His Lofty World and gather you.

Great happiness and glory await each person that carries the title “companion of the Beloved and Guiding Prophet.” May God bless him and elevate his rank to the highest possible levels.

There are many great Spiritual truths that have not been revealed to you and will not be revealed any time soon with the exception of a few that will be revealed at different times.

My beloved:

Love each other and rest assured that the end of this life cycle on earth is nearer than any one can imagine and when the Six Guides come, this earth will disappear, planets will fall, and the light of stars will become faint…At that point, new lands will form and new skies will appear and anyone that merits to live will live there. Each Guide will rule new lands and skies. Let everyone with ears hear this. Wisdom beckons whomever listens. Blessed to whomever learned the Truth and knowledge unveiled itself to him. For now, Father Noah bids you adieu.”

Father Noah

Note: It is kindly requested from all Daheshists to inform the guardians of the mission of every marriage, divorce, birth, death, or baptism that takes place along with the exact date, hour, and minute so that they can be documented in the Daheshist records.
