In issue eighteen, July 1946 of the “Al-Sa’eh” magazine, Abdul-Masseeh Hadad wrote the following:

      In the case of Dr. Dahesh, a new idea cannot survive if it is deemed unfit for living. However, if it is fit for living or if it is handled by the persecution, it will live, because no government or majority can extract it from the hearts of the minority. History gives us many examples to consider. We cannot remain silent about the persecution of Dahesh and his message by the government—especially, when his message was delivered peacefully and not by the power of the sword…his only purpose was to unite religions. If he was a false prophet, why he wasn’t left alone so that his cause would die by itself? Deceptive messages cannot live long, however persecution creates in the hearts of its followers strange factors that encourage them to persist.”
